Ingredients

Berry smoothie base
  • 1 cup frozen banana
  • 1 cup frozen fruit (strawberries, raspberries, blueberries, mango)
  • 1/4 cup liquid of choice (milk, plant milk, coconut water or juice)
Banana topping
  • 1 banana, sliced
  • 3 tbsp granola
  • 2 tsp runny peanut butter for drizzling
Kiwifruit topping
  • 1 kiwifruit, peeled and sliced
  • 1 tbsp desiccated coconut
  • 2 tbsp toasted slivered almonds
Strawberry topping
  • 2 strawberries, sliced
  • 1 tbsp cacao nibs
  • 1 tbsp goji berries

Method

Step 1:

To make the smoothie, place the frozen fruit into a food processor and blend. It will be very loud to begin and will get quieter as the frozen fruit is processed. Stop the processor and use a spatula to push the mixture down and wipe down the edges before blending quickly again. This will help make sure everything is evenly sized. It will be a fine crumb at this stage.

Step 2:

Add the liquid and process again. This time you should end up with a thick and smooth mixture.

Step 3:

Place the smoothie into a serving bowl and add your favourite topping.
