Ingredients
Berry smoothie base- 1 cup frozen banana
- 1 cup frozen fruit (strawberries, raspberries, blueberries, mango)
- 1/4 cup liquid of choice (milk, plant milk, coconut water or juice)
- 1 banana, sliced
- 3 tbsp granola
- 2 tsp runny peanut butter for drizzling
- 1 kiwifruit, peeled and sliced
- 1 tbsp desiccated coconut
- 2 tbsp toasted slivered almonds
- 2 strawberries, sliced
- 1 tbsp cacao nibs
- 1 tbsp goji berries
Method
Step 1:
To make the smoothie, place the frozen fruit into a food processor and blend. It will be very loud to begin and will get quieter as the frozen fruit is processed. Stop the processor and use a spatula to push the mixture down and wipe down the edges before blending quickly again. This will help make sure everything is evenly sized. It will be a fine crumb at this stage.
Step 2:
Add the liquid and process again. This time you should end up with a thick and smooth mixture.
Step 3:
Place the smoothie into a serving bowl and add your favourite topping.
