Whether you’re running out the door every morning or looking for a way to satisfy that chocolaty craving, our overnight oats are the perfect morning meal
This quick breakfast recipe is for those of us who rush out the door in the morning but are a bit bored of cereal and toast.
Eating seasonally supports local farmers and reduces the environmental impact of your meals. Most importantly, it’s delicious!
Accredited Dietitian Gemma Cosgriff shares her favourite recipes and tips for putting together a healthy, delicious smoothie
Step 1:
Pre-heat oven to 160°C.
Step 2:
Mix honey into hot water until it goes runny.
Step 3:
In a large bowl, mix oats, nuts and seeds.
Step 4:
Pour the watered-down honey over the oats mixture and stir until all the ingredients are covered with honey.
Step 5:
Line a tray with baking paper and spread mixture out on the tray.
Step 6:
Cook muesli in the oven for 10 minutes, remove and stir mixture, then cook for a further 10 minutes.
Step 7:
Remove from the oven and add coconut and dried fruit.
Step 8:
To store, place muesli in an airtight container in the pantry.
Step 9:
To serve, place 1/4 cup muesli mixed with 1/2 cup natural yoghurt in a cereal bowl. Add fresh fruit to taste and enjoy!
If you prefer untoasted muesli, simply mix all the dry ingredients together in a large bowl and store.
