If you’re looking for an online appointment, eligible* Bupa members can book online doctor’s consultations with 24/7. With Blua online doctors, you can request a prescription, referral, or general medical advice, on demand.

Your GP can diagnose and treat common conditions or prescribe medications. If needed, they can also refer you to another specialist. Often, you will need a referral from a GP to access Medicare rebates for some health services and treatment.
Your GP helps to manage chronic conditions and can advise you on preventative health. The GP may diagnose you with a condition and then prescribe treatment or medication. Or, they may refer you for scans or to another health provider who can manage your musculoskeletal condition.
Some musculoskeletal conditions that GPs treat include:
- neck and neck pain
- hip and knee pain
- shoulder pain
- sports injury recovery and prevention
- ligament sprains and muscle strains
- arthritis.
A GP reviews your personal details and health history in a one-on-one appointment. They ask you questions about your lifestyle and symptoms to assess your health. The GP may diagnose with you a condition and then prescribe treatment or medication. Or, they may refer you for scans or to another health provider that can manage your musculoskeletal condition.
With Blua online doctors, eligible members can get 100% of fees covered for a yearly limit of either 3 or 6 appointments per person, depending on their level of cover†. Eligibility, fund and policy rules apply^.

Medicare rebates may cover a portion of your GP consult. The cost of the appointment will vary depending on the clinic you visit and the type of appointment you need. At most GP clinics, bulk-billing often applies to pensioners, healthcare cardholders and children under 16 years of age, asylum seekers and refugees.
